Job Summary:
FS Communications Technician I are responsible for the installation, servicing and troubleshooting of AT&T/DIRECTV or DISH satellite systems in residences and businesses.

Essential and Primary Functions:

Ability to work independently
Provide technology service and support to customers
Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction, including educating customers on usage of the AT&T/DIRECTV or DISH satellite systems and remote control
Determine the best location for the installation of the receiver/satellite dish and effectively troubleshoot issues
Ability to comfortably, safely and effectively work at elevated heights (up to 40 feet) (for example, on roofs) from a ladder rated for a maximum working load of 300 lbs. including all tools and equipment, and in small spaces (for example, attics and crawl spaces) while performing installation and service work, which includes installing receivers and running cables and wiring
Stock vehicle with necessary equipment on a weekly or periodic basis and accurately track inventory
Attend weekly or periodic technician meetings
Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. on a regular basis
Working knowledge of hand tools and power tools

Other Functions

Continuously learn about relevant new technology
Comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather throughout the year
Field Trainer capable after 1 year of experience to train new hires

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Working knowledge of hand tools and power tools
Basic computer skills and comfortable operating electronic devices
Strong customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Available for a flexible work schedule (weekends / holidays / evenings)

Certificates, Licenses, Registration and Requirements:

At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
High school diploma or GED required
Possess a valid driver’s license

Physical Demands:

Be able to lift up to 80 lbs. on a regular basis
Be comfortable climbing up to heights of 40 feet
Be able to work safely from a ladder rated for a maximum working load of 300 lbs. including all tools and equipment
Be comfortable working in crawlspaces and attics
Comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather throughout the year
