Danaher Corporation Technician II (Metrology) - Days in Coralville, Iowa
Shift:
Monday-Thursday 7AM-5:30PM,
Shift after COVID-19 shift precautions are lifted will be Sunday-Thursday 7AM to 3:30/4PM (depending on which lunch they choose).
Purpose statement:
The Technician II (Metrology) is responsible for performing calibrations, troubleshooting and scheduling of preventive maintenance on the equipment within IDT’s laboratories.
Job Specific Essential Functions:
Performs testing on various types of equipment to ensure accuracy and precision
Documents testing and other actions performed with detail and precision, into the CCMS (computerized maintenance management system)
Troubleshoots issues with equipment and testing methods
Coordinates instrument testing with owning departments
Learns on a continual basis about existing and new equipment purchased by the department
Helps to identify systemic and specific issues with equipment
Installs new probes on Rees System (fridge and freezer monitoring system) and performs basic trouble shooting for system problems
Adheres to safety regulations, lab SOPs, and contamination controls
Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values
Performs other duties as assigned
Education:
Associate’s degree in science related field plus 2 years of applicable lab experience required
Bachelor’s degree in science related field preferred
Valid driver’s license required
Experience:
Proficiency in a variety of PC software programs with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project and JMP preferred
Calibration skills preferred
