Job Summary/ObjectivesLevel 1 Metal Technician is an entry level position which is filled by an individual entering the collision industry. Experience of up to 2 years or less in auto body related field. This position entails the removal and refitting of new parts such as bumpers, fenders, grills, moldings and other bolt-on items, and small to medium metal repairs including finishing and priming. This includes but is not limited to the use of seat bags, floor mats, car covers, welding blankets, masking paper, or any other practical method to ensure positive results.iImmediately notify the appropriate person of any hidden damage or missed damage that doesnit appear on the Work Order (supplement processing).iBe responsible and accountable for all parts for any jobs that are assigned to you.
