Painters are responsible for setting up, operating, and tending machines that coat the manufactured products. Essential Job Duties:iUtilize proper PPE: safety glasses, steel-toed boots, respirator, and bump cap if under a traileriPrepare surfaces to be coated to remove grease, dirt and rust (pressure water washing, power wire brushing, air compressor debris removal, DA Sanding)iAble to work in a team environment to achieve production goalsiApply coatings onto manufactured productsiTouch up defective areas of painted itemsiMaintain equipment by cleaning nozzles, containers, and hoses of machinesiPrepare paints for different color usageiRead and understand work orders and work instructionsiPerform quality checks both before and after paint applicationiAssist in other areas as needed and perform other duties as assignedQualifications and RequirementsiHigh school diploma/GEDiGood physical condition with the ability to safely lift 80 pounds with prolonged periods of standingiExperience wet coating if being considered for a position requiring this skilliWilling to submit a pre-employment background check and urine drug screenRequired PPEiSafety GlassesiSteel Toed Boots/ShoesiGlovesiRespiratorsiHard Hats-installing axlesiChemical resistant apron-washing trailers*iFace Shield- washing trailers*
