We appreciate your patience while we work to integrate our application and hiring process.Job DescriptionDUTIES:In performing all job duties, safe work practices must be maintained.Performs routine plant maintenance of building, grounds and equipment.Work assignments cover any area in the plant or on the grounds, including cement work, brick work, window glazing, painting, light carpentry, plumbing, care of lawn, shrubs, weed trimming.Maintain lighting throughout the plant; Maintain hall floors and sidewalks.Perform lubrication duties on plant equipment as needed.Perform monthly checks to emergency lights, fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, emergency showers, and emergency brigade equipment.Perform monthly inspections of HVAC filters and replace as needed. Perform assigned weekly and monthly cleaning tasks from Product Safety Cleaning schedules.Back up Sanitor as needed; Back up Store Room Clerk as needed.All Good Manufacturing Practices must be followed.Must know and maintain respective role in Food Safety.All other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTSMust complete 7 Home Study Courses in 12 months' time.Must supply basic hand tools from tool list. Must have mechanical aptitude.Must be willing to work overtime if needed.Must complete required electrical safety training and be a 'qualified electrical worker'.Must have valid driver's license.Be able to write or print legible.Must be able to work from heights man lifts, ladders, and silos.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSClimbing: frequent ascending and descending steps of work platform, ladder, or scaffolding to work on equipment.Standing/walking: continuous standing and frequent walking; opportunity to sit on breaks.Bending/stooping/kneeling/crouching: frequent bending body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist; and occasional crouching.Reaching: occasionally extending hands and arms in any direction.Push/pulling: frequent use of upper extremities to press against objects with steady force, and frequent use of upper extremities to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.Lifting: frequent lifting of objects up to 80# from a lower to a higher position and moving objects horizontally from position to position.Grasping/fingering/feeling: frequent grasping of objects by applying pressure with the fingers and palm.Talking/hearing: frequently talking and hearing for the purpose of receiving instructions and hearing is also necessary to make discrimination in sound when making adjustments.Repetitive motions: frequent substantial movements of the wrist, hands and fingers.Visual acuity: Continuous visual inspection is required involving small defects, machine operation and use of measurement devices. Must have good vision, either naturally or corrected, be able to see subtle color differences and details in order to check electrical wire colors, warning labels, and components.Reads/Write: Occasional reading and writing in order to complete work order tickets, perform LOTO procedure, and insure compliance with procedures.PPE: Must be able to wear hearing protection, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, FR clothing, and gloves.
