This Full time position is located in Cedar Rapids, IA ;however please expect receiving calls from a 952 number in case you are considered. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Cargill Corn Milling in Cedar Rapids, Iowa has openings for full time Utility Workers. We are seeking team members that demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, succeed in a high performance team environment and consistently meet quality, safety and operational requirements.


  • Operating and maintaining a dynamic and continuous process flow.

  • Maintaining the facility to exceed regulatory and customer requirements.

  • Conducting efficiency tests and collecting/analyzing product samples.

  • Interfacing with customers and carriers of our products.

  • Problem solving and trouble-shooting.

  • Compliance to environmental, health and food safety requirements.

  • Learning and utilizing computer systems and new technology.

  • Performing minor maintenance.

  • Developing and participating in individual/group skill development training.



  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.

  • Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old.

  • High School diploma or Equivalent.

  • Must be able to read/write English.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to work overtime.

  • Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts.

  • Ability to work in elevated areas.

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 55 pounds.

  • Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces.

  • Must be able to operate machinery.

  • Must be able to operate heavy equipment.

  • Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold.


  • Prior experience in production related work

  • Forklift certified.
