Working independently, this position is responsible for planning, scheduling, and assisting engineers with administrative, documentation, process, tool, and general engineering related support activities. Must demonstrate the ability to support several engineers, providing a wide variety of administrative and computer skills to assist engineering projects. Assignments typically include word processing, data entry and document preparation utilizing computing resources, change management process, requirements capture, milestone and financial metrics, etc. Performs project non-technical duties. Acts as process and tool expert for engineering design teams. Must possess the ability to coordinate and lead activities as well as strong organization and analytical skills.

This position will be located in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Teamwork Cloud and Cameo Tools: Updating, adding users, measuring and suggesting IT changes needed to accommodate these tools. Managing licenses, model projects, and other tool infrastructure related tasks, and coordinating with engineering and the tools teams to make sure the tools are running smoothly.

  • Office 365: Provide support for newer users of Office 365

  • Vendor Activities: Coordinate most vendor related activities around getting parts in place, on time, for Lab builds

  • Customer Support: Manage and support access to legacy Collins systems for users from other areas of the company. Build relationships with our internal and external customers by organizing and supporting remote and in person events. Coordinate between engineering and security to maintain OP-SEC for our programs. Manage and coordinate communications between the end customer and Collins engineering. Must be able to interpret data that engineering puts together and make sure it meets the intent of the end customer.

  • Bids: Provide support for bids from creation to review to approval. Coordinate bid efforts, track actions, manage milestones and submittal deadlines.

  • Documentation: Coordinate document creation, formatting, and updating. Track and manage all document deliverables (CDRLS etc.)

Basic Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

  • Must demonstrate the ability to communicate with a wide variety of technical and management personnel.

  • Must possess extensive PC tool knowledge in all Microsoft Office applications.

  • MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, O365, ALM, JIRA and JAMA is required.

  • Must have the ability to coordinate several projects and complex engineering support activities while balancing priorities and schedules.

  • Must have the desire and willingness to commit to continued learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in CAMEO, CAMET, Confluence, DOORS, and Prep/Subversion is desired.
