WI Scale, Rogan Scale and La Crosse are all hiring Service Technicians in Chippewa Falls, WI, West Salem, WI and Cedar Rapids, IA!Position Summary:The Service Technician I is responsible for installing equipment, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing industry related equipment which includes balances and peripherals at customer locations, and performing calibrations and preventative maintenance. It is expected that a Service Technician I would process some or none of these competencies and be in the process of mastering the balance while working under direct or close supervision. In time, this individual will develop the ability to resolve first line customer complaints and assists in generating additional business.Duties and Responsibilities:ServiceInstallation, inspection, calibration, repair and maintenance of industrial weighing and measuring equipment.Troubleshoot and repair industry related products.Ensure customer uptime requirements are met and that preventative maintenance work at assigned accounts is completed on time.Follow and adhere to all service requirements and procedures.TrainingParticipate in online and hands on training to develop skill sets needed of position with emphasis on specific equipment lines and/or products.Work side by side with Service Technician II to further hone in on skill sets.3. PaperworkComplete service documents and test reports for review with customersand submission to service database.Assure integrity of the service database.Submit all paperwork in a timely and professional manner.Customer Service/SalesAssist in resolving first line customer complaints.Assist and cooperate with sales team to meet customer requirements whenever necessary. Participate in the marketing and sales effort of the organization to expand service revenues.Proactively promote and sell service and products to customers while onsite.Lead efforts to modernize, upgrade and customer existing equipment. TeamworkParticipate in developing and maintaining a feeling of teamwork within the service area.Maintain a professional working relationship with external/internal customers, sales, technicians and other leaders.Required Qualifications:Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in a Manufacturing or Technical Program Basic knowledge of PC computers and MS Office software.Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical maintenance and electronics.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Can write routine reports and correspondence. Effectively speak before groups of customers or employees of organization.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Demonstrates strong focus and attention to details.Understands basic troubleshooting principals.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
