As a Software Engineering Intern, you’ll become a key contributor where your skills and input make a big difference. In this role, you’ll work alongside a team designing, developing, and testing embedded software and development tools.

Here is a description of the specific program you will be working on:

Provide an open systems computing platform with a variety of guest operating systems that offer open standard interfaces. This project would create a way to connect these open systems with aircraft systems thus allowing customers to develop applications on our hardware without the need for embedded real time operating system knowledge.

Open mission compute platform on a Xilinx Zync Ultrascale+:● VxWorks 653 4.x (HVP)● Android as a guest● Linux as a guest● VxWorks GOS (cert 7?)● Cortex R5/firmware network off load (ASL and/or AFDX)(implement FreeRTOS as an open alternative for POC)● FPGA Graphics virtualization to share the MALI 400 MP2 graphics (share between Android and Linux) (Stretch Goal)● Collins App Store (APK download and validation, dataload via ARINC-615A)● Hardware assisted Video Encode/Decode in Linux and Android● Avionics bus to Google bridge/gateway: convert avionics data like position to something a google app can consume.

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.
