The System Integration team is looking for an experienced embedded software engineer. This engineer will develop embedded software applications to prove that newly developed hardware, corresponding platform software, and application software, are meeting the requirements as specified by the development team. This individual will work closely with the platform software, hardware, and system integration teams to develop robust software that will exercise functionality that will be used by end the customer/developer. Application software will execute on both the target hardware and Windows host environment.
This role requires an individual with a broad range of skills and knowledge in system, software, and hardware engineering; interface protocols; and general problem solving. This individual must work well in a team environment and be able to analyze issues and effectively communicate those issues to the team.
Must Have Requirements:
Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.
Selected candidate should have experience with the following skills:
C/C++ software development
Python Scripting language
Windows software development
Linux/UNIX embedded software development
The following skills/experience is desired:
Ada Software Development
VXWorks 653 and LinxOS-178 embedded operating system
The following bus protocols and the tools used to monitor their traffic: Ethernet (TCP/IP, UDP), ARINC-664, ARINC-429, RS-232/422, MIL-STD-1553B
Interaction with customers and end users
Systems and Software engineering process
