The Production worker is primarily responsible for grinding, packaging, warehousing, shipping, and receiving operations in an automated work environment. Ensures the product is produced efficiently, on time and according to specification. Supports Diamond V’s commitment to product quality, product safety and regulatory compliance by following written and routine standard operating procedures. This includes observing food hygiene, food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) when conducting assigned job duties.
Essential duties: Include but are not limited to the following.
- Operate warehouse management system equipment to direct issue micro-add ingredients
- Operate warehouse management system equipment to direct issue supplies, including bag stock
- Operate warehouse management system equipment to move pallets from one location to another
- Collect incoming ingredient samples.Record all information specific to the sample
Operate warehouse management system equipment to load finished product onto trucks
Operate drying equipment as required
Perform equipment maintenance as needed
Safety, EPA, HACCP and other Certification work order completion
May be asked to perform Operator job duties or other job related duties as requested by supervisor.
Start / Stop.
Ability to operate automated process equipment, including; batching, grinding, drying, packaging, palletizing, and warehouse management.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Ability to obtain certification to handle fumigants and pesticides.
Ability to follow procedures and work in a safe and efficient manner.
May require a substantial amount of repetitive motion.
Occasional exposure to noise, dust, damp conditions, temperature extremes (unloading rail cars outside).
May be exposed to pesticide fumes when loading trucks.
Setups and adjustments, both mechanical and computerized.
Operate warehouse management system equipment to receive supplies and ingredients.

Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written).
High School diploma or Equivalent.
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Ability to lift a minimum of 55 pounds.
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above).
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including a respirator.
Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment.
Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice.
Basic use of a computer.
Prior experience in production related work.
