The MTL is responsible for the efficient and effective use of all manpower and other resources under their supervision and is also charged with motivating, training, and administering the maintenance technicians supervised. Additionally, the MTL is the frontline provider of equipment-related expertise and technical guidance for the maintenance technicians and a change management agent for the Company.less thanbr>less thanbr>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:less thanbr>* Coordinate production requirements and downtime availability with Production Planning Groupless thanbr>* Determine resource availability for the upcoming week and develop craft availability forecasts in preparation for weekly schedule coordinationless thanbr>* Facilitate the weekly schedule coordination meetingless thanbr>* Review the previous weekis schedule, completions and deferrals, with the Maintenance Indirect assigneesless thanbr>* Prioritize planned work orders for scheduling with Maintenance Indirect assigneesless thanbr>* Develop a work schedule for the upcoming week based on:less thanbr>#1 - Preventive and Predictive Maintenanceless thanbr>#2 - Prioritized work from requestorsless thanbr>#3 - Projects and Improvement Modificationsless thanbr>* Publish negotiated weekly maintenance schedule and distribute to appropriate personnelless thanbr>* Production Planningless thanbr>* Operations Managementless thanbr>* Maintenance Indirect(s)less thanbr>* Maintenance Technicians (with work orders)less thanbr>* Execute the weekis work schedule:less thanbr>* Evaluating and authorizing work that is approved to disrupt the current weekis schedule of workless thanbr>* Forwarding work that was not authorized to disrupt the schedule onto to maintenance planningless thanbr>* Making tactical decisions to stay on schedule, addressingless thanbr>* Emergency Work (Breakdowns)less thanbr>* Carryover workless thanbr>* New high priority work (see above)less thanbr>* Assisting assigned maintenance technicians in resolving problems with work packages, such as:less thanbr>* Basic troubleshootingless thanbr>* Coordinate obtaining parts that were unanticipated through the planning processless thanbr>* Coordinate returning of equipment back to Operations controlless thanbr>* Receive work order forms after job execution in order to:less thanbr>* Ensure timely and thorough job completionless thanbr>* Clarify feedback as necessary for forwarding to maintenance planningless thanbr>* Return of completed work packages with all attachments, etc. to maintenance planningless thanbr>* Training and motivation of the maintenance techniciansless thanbr>* Contract administration and change managementless thanbr>* Administrative personnel functionsless thanbr>* Monitor and meet annually established budgets for repair materials and maintenance labor dollarsless thanbr>less thanbr>* Qualifications/Requirementsless thanbr>1. Demonstrated experience in implementing preventive/predictive maintenance systems.less thanbr>2.Must have excellent organizational skills to ensure the ability to organize robust planning and scheduling methods.less thanbr>3.Must have strong leadership skills to ensure the ability to lead the technical resources that will be under direct supervision, as well as influence non-direct personnel in key maintenance related issues.less thanbr>4.
