Aerotek Machine Operator - $16/hr in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

A well-established manufacturing company located in Cedar Rapids, IA is now hiring for machine operators to join their team.

This candidate will be operating a Turret Operator (A computer-controlled turret and other machines utilized in metal fabrication process) following a specific work instruction. This is a trainable position and they prefer someone to come in with no Laser Operator experience.

Job Duties:

  • Operate Laser, EML, Vikings, Timesaver, punch press, shear, fabrivision, forklift, and other machines

  • Using different machine's to create a quality part

  • Setting up tooling for the operators and moving material

  • Monitor machine operation to detect problems

  • Collect, document and record information

Qualifications:

  • Basic reading and writing skills

  • Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders

  • Ability to use computer

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
