Iowa Employer Screen Print Production in CARROLL, Iowa

Both day and night shifts available. Shifts are working four 10 hours days. Day hours are 5:30 am to 4:30 pm and night hours are 4:30 pm to 3:30 am. Work days are Monday - Thursday.Job Summary: Work in the screen printing department to complete custom printed garment orders and ready them for the shipping department. Become cross-trained in all areas of the screen printing process and become proficient in automatic machine operation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Loader (#1)*Operate printing machines, including set up and tear down to produce garments per order specifications. Load garments onto machine.*Team leader ensures un-loader and folder are doing their assigned task. Examples: occasionally check a shirt before un-loader unloads garments or holding a shirt back to verify Folder is counting garments.*Verify that the garments types, print location and artwork are correct prior to production. *Overall responsible for quality and quantity of garments produced.*Communicating with team members any pertinent information.*Document all necessary information pertaining to order in the notes and on paperwork.*Performs job consistently within established performance standards.*Monitor machine for needed maintenance and report to issues to Supervisor.Un-loader (#2)*Assist in preparing paperwork necessary for order.*Remove garments from machine, inspecting garment and printing for flaws or imperfections. Report any quality issues to Loader.*Assist machine loader or folder as necessary.*Performs job consistently within established performance standards.Folder (#3)*Verify that the count and garments types are correct prior to production. *Assist in preparing paperwork necessary for order.*Fold finished products, watching for flaws or defects. Count and sort finished shirts by size/color. Place shirts neatly in boxes in preparation for shipping department. *Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.*Performs job consistently within established performance standards.________________________________________________*Is punctual, observes prescribed work break/meal periods and has an acceptable overall attendance record.*Other duties as assigned or dictated by the needs of the business.*Utilizes personal protective equipment as required for personal safety.*Become proficient and trained in all aspects of screen printing.The above 4 bullet points below the line pertain to all 3 jobs.Essential Skills and Experience:*High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.*Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, interpret orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.*Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.*Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
