This position will have the responsibility for testing and inspecting products at various stages of the production process; compiling and evaluating statistical data. They will also be responsible for inspecting and evaluating product to ensure quality conformity by using gauges and other devices for verification.The ideal candidate for this position will have a Associates Degree and experience with and general understanding of quality tools and quality management systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.We are ready to act immediately on those candidates who may be the best fit for the role. You'll first hear from the plant Human Resources Manager to schedule a phone screen, and then the next step will be a personal interview with our Quality Assurance Manager. We pride ourselves on moving through processes quickly, and you can be sure of transparency and prompt communication throughout.RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for testing and auditing products/processes at various stages of the production processPerform product characterization testing and verification using comparator tools, laser mics, calipers and other testing equipment as necessary.Each technician should possess the basic skills required to perform each of these functions. Technicians will be assigned to specific tasks as required.Update, compile and analyze data using database software from testing equipment and product verification. Understand, interpret blueprints, data, Control Plans, and PFMEAS to ensure product conformity Communicate and educate operators on the quality parameters for each respective product. Review and update work instructions within the technician's level of responsibilityREQUIREMENTS:Education: Minimum of Associates Degree in a related discipline preferred.Experience:Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment dealing withquality systems; hopefully in a quality technician role previously.Certified Mechanical Instructor or Certified Quality Auditor from ASQ is desired.Possess general knowledge and understanding of quality tools such as SPC, process capability studies and Gage R&R.Experience in maintaining organized and accurate records to demonstrate the effectivenes of our quality system.Ability to develop a thorough understanding of our manufacturing processes and to be able to communicate concise and accurate facts to all levels of employees.Excellent computer skills (Microsoft office suite).Federal-Mogul Holdings Corporation is a leading global supplier of original and aftermarketequipment for the automotive, aerospace, mining, marine and industrial markets.
