Job Title: Operator

Job Description

As an Operator, your primary role will involve operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting a machine that manufactures wire cages. This role requires the individual to measure finished parts with a tape measure or caliper to ensure quality, inspect equipment prior to use to guarantee proper setup and alignment, and perform basic and routine adjustments and maintenance. You will be expected to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area, and routinely operate a forklift with up to 15,000 lb capacity. Other responsibilities include the ability to work in a variety of roles, familiarity with and ability to use small hand tools, reading a tape measure and production blueprints, and operating an overhead crane. You may also be assigned other related duties.

Work Environment

The work environment is a dirty and dusty facility that is covered and not temperature controlled, similar to a construction type of environment with the dirt and dust. The shift timings are 1st - 6am-2:30/4pm normally, with overtime from 5am-5pm on Saturdays. The dress code includes a hard hat, jeans, steel-toed boots, and safety glasses. You will be part of a team of about 60 people, which ramps up to around 80 people during the Spring and Summer months. The specific department for this role has about 3-4 people
