Performance Pipe, a division of Chevron Phillips Chemical Co., LP., is an injection molding manufacturer of polyethylene pipe fittings. We are seeking a Molding Quality Control Operator to work a shift schedule from 4:00 pm – 4:00 am. in our Bloomfield, Iowa plant.

Available position requires the ability to work safely in a team-oriented environment. We are looking for detail-oriented candidates who have a demonstrated work history of shift work, in addition to working injury free and following workplace/plant safety practices and procedures.


  • Work in a safe manner

  • Keep safety as a core value thru teamwork and participation

  • Participate in daily safety routines (both as an individual and team member)

  • Collect and measure samples of parts being produced on the production floor, with ID gages, wall mics, pi tapes, calipers, etc. and document all measurements

  • Calibrate measuring tools

  • Operate X-ray unit

  • Sign tickets, make tags for parts

  • Operate forklift

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must have a valid driver’s license

  • General knowledge and experience using various types of measuring tools

  • Basic computer and math skills

  • Excellent written and communication skills

  • Capable of lifting approximately 50 lbs. without an assist

  • Capable of multi-tasking

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with an injection molding process in a manufacturing environment

Testing Requirements :

Pre-employment and on-going testing include controlled substances, physical, background check, audiogram and vision.

Rate Informaiton:

Entry level pay rate is 18.25/hr with a shift differential of .60 per hour. Progressive increases start after a 120-day probationary period is reached and is successful. Wages are paid on a bi-weekly basis. Time and one-half (1.5) is paid for all hours worked in excess of twelve (12) in one day and forty (40) in one week.
