Heartland Co-op Facility Operations/Maintenance - Truck - FT in Blairstown, Iowa
Load & unload tractor/trailer, trucks and wagons, handle grain, clean and general maintenance at Heartland Co-op facilities by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare trailers for loading by opening tarps, inspecting for foreign debris, closing and sealing bottom.
Load trailers by running grain spout, conveyors, grain vacuums and other loading equipment.
Unload freight (grain/fertilizer) from trailers.
Direct grain based on grade to proper bin.
Load trucks/trailers with grain/fertilizer using end loader.
Responsible for grain bin measurements.
Performs routine maintenance and housekeeping in elevator. Responsible for records maintenance and housekeeping performed in appropriate log book or applicable maintenance program.
During times when grain/fertilizer are not being loaded or moved, cleaning activities in the elevator including sweeping and shoveling of grain and dirt.
Responsible for monitoring and recording temperature cables, walking flats, tracking fan usage, monitoring bunker storage, monitoring grain dryer output and other location specific duties to ensure exceptional grain inventory quality.
During seasonal slow times assist with agronomy, feed and petroleum operations as needed.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and commercial insurability at all times.
Other duties may be assigned.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
No Computer skills needed.
Certificates and Licenses:
May be required to maintain a current weighing license and grain grading certificate. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and commercial insurability at all times.
