Iowa Employer Lead Production Operator in ATLANTIC, Iowa

The Lead Production Operator produces quality products, safely and efficiently, operating the bottling and canning equipment, and following standard operating procedures (SOPs). They also provide oversight for our sanitation team.Major Responsibilities:iServe as a lead and trainer in the production department.iOperate manufacturing equipment while following written standard operating procedures (SOPs), verbal instructions, process flow charts and procedures, while following all safety, food safety, and GMP requirements.iPerform quality, safety, and regulatory compliance monitoring.iRegularly inspect product.iReplenish supplies as needed.iAssist with equipment and area preparation and setup, and cleaning/sanitation. iProvide general oversight and lead nightly sanitation team efforts, ensuring all cleaning and sanitation is completed, and provide regular reporting for management as part of our quality system.iSupport and follow a strong safety culture, maintaining clean and orderly production area to ensure safety.iEnsure professional contact with visitors in order to favorably represent the company and iconic Coca-Cola brand image.iHold high accountability for work performance to ensure the highest of quality.iOffer pro-active suggestions for production-related problems.iVarious production-related reports.iOther duties as required. Experience & Qualifications:iHigh School degree with at least a year of general work experience. Previous production environment experience or machine operation equipment experience is desired. Will consider other equivalent experience in lieu of degree.iPrevious supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment.iPrevious food-grade manufacturing background and keen understanding of food safety regulations is desired. Previous food and beverage manufacturing and equipment experience is also highly desired.iAbility to operate manufacturing equipment.iAbility to read, write, follow process flow charts, and problem-solving are essential skills.iGood math, inspection, and problem-solving skills are needed.iGood interpersonal communication skills are needed.iExcellent team-player with the ability to effectively interact with multiple departments.iHighly-motivated self-starter, with the ability to work with minimal oversight.iFlexible with the ability to adapt to varying situations, and work in a fast-paced environment.iiRegular, consistent attendance is an essential job function.Additional:iWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position will spend their time on the production floor. As a result, they should expect a fast-paced production environment with loud noises resulting; and will frequently lift and/or move items up to 55 lbs. (Moving equipment and tools will be provided to reduce strains and injury.) Standing, walking, twisting, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing will be required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The ability to climb stairs will also be needed. iThe typical work days will be Monday-Friday, with varied hours based on production schedule needs.
