Purpose: Provide professional cleaning and detailing of cars and trucks for the Preowned Sales Department. Restore vehicles to factory showroom condition following department processes and standards. Full time; 40 hour work week.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Detailing: Following department processes and standards, restore vehicles to factory showroom condition. While number of completed units will vary (production), depending on inventory, this position will detail a minimum of 8 units per week. Thoroughly clean exterior of vehicles for resale and delivery. Wash, dry and wax customer vehicles with great attention to detail. Power wash and prepare cars and trucks for display. Visually inspect every vehicle for flaws to ensure delivery quality standards. Process may involve cleaning and removing dirt in the engine compartments
Interior: Thoroughly clean interior of vehicles. Vacuum entire vehicle to remove dirt and debris. Clean and sanitize upholstery and other surfaces. Treat fabric, leather, vinyl, and other surfaces with stain resistant chemicals to preserve material. Use special cleaning solutions to remove difficult stains that do not respond to normal cleaning agents
Customer Service: Provide excellent internal customer service to others on detailing team specifically, and all Karl Chevrolet employees and customers. Take ownership for consistently and effectively communicating with other employees to plan and execute consistent high quality work. It is important to be focused and dedicated to the work at hand, being punctual on time.
Quality: Great attention to detail, consistently going above and beyond to provide our customers with a quality product. Be passionate about the small details, efficient, and willing to go the extra mile to make vehicles look their best. Approach work with a sense of urgency.
Work Area: Maintain a clean and organized work area. Maintain detailing equipment to ensure proper performance. Organize and maintain the inventory of detail department supplies. Identification, safe handling, and appropriate disposal of materials and acquire knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements. Safely move cars around dealership. Report any safety issues immediately to management
Qualifications and Education: Attention to detail, excellent time management skills, self-starter, reliable. Great work ethic and willingness to learn quickly. Physical activity involves the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand and maneuver around office/shop for long periods of time. Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record. Customer-oriented team player Ability to follow proven processes.
