Define and execute procurement tactics to achieve these benefits. Build strong and effective relationships both with internal customers, the local/regional category team and external suppliers to create the framework for the implementation of procurement initiatives and processes.Responsibilities:Increase awareness of Procurement Best Practices and facilitate change throughout the BusinessAct as the single point of contact the business and suppliers on supply matters related to your domains, co-develop, and execute procurement tactics for your domainPurchase request transaction processing, Purchase Order (PO) closure/Amendments, Goods Receipt (GR) related request, Delivery Status, PO process related general topics and Query HandlingControlling of defined purchasing policiesDeliver cost savings and other procurement benefits (as defined in the Category Plan)Work in close cooperation with the other buyers and Local Category ManagerAlign with other CRH geographies as needed (e.g. APAC and Americas)Develop, analyze, send out and bring back spend and category information to create detailed sub-category overviews and visibility on the spendSupplier communication and follow upRequirements:Bachelors degree in Business (preferred) or procurement work experience3 5 years of experience as a Buyer or Procurement SpecialistExcellent organizational skills and a high attention to detailMust be tech-savvy, including experience with Microsoft Office and other procurement software An analytical mindset, with ability to manipulate data using pivot tables and vlookupsStrong customer service aptitude and collaboration-focused mindsetExcellent communication skills both verbally and writtenExperience with conducting bids and/or negotiating deals for indirect spend categoriesWhat CRH Americas Offers YouA culture that values opportunity for growth, development and internal promotionHighly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsAbout CRH AmericasCRH Americashas a long and proud heritage as one of North Americas largest corporations.
