Title: Robotic Assembly ME - Entry Level - 70405
As a Robotic Assembly ME for John Deere Des Moines Works located in Ankeny, Iowa, you will maintain and improve robotic and manual assembly methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of moderate scope.
Innovate and implement cost reduction, quality, and safety/ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope
Lead team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency of moderate scope
Lead analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology
Provide shopfloor support and troubleshooting for current operations
Investigate challenges, gather/analyze data and implement solutions

What Skills You Need
- 1 to 3 years of experience with manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventable maintenance and facilities
What Makes You Stand Out
1 or more years of experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, quality
Experience with shop floor manufacturing, incentive pay systems such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan)
1 or more years of experience with engineering tools such as Creo, AutoCAD, Ignition, Python, VisView, or Tableau
Experience with manufacturing process design, material presentation, 5S, tool design, continuous improvement, safety/ergo tactics, and quality improvement methodology
Experience or knowledge of Tillage
SAP knowledge of repetitive and discrete manufacturing
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial/Manufacturing/Systems, Robotic, or Electrical Engineering. Equivalent manufacturing experience will be considered.
