The Strategic Buyer is responsible for operational procurement activities within our local/regional plant sites, acting as a key point of contact for our suppliers and within the organization.Job Responsibilities Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.Support organization goals and objectives with emphasis on cost savings, supplier performance, contribution margin, and salesMaterial change management and PPAP activitiesProcurement master data maintenancePricing and quotation review, negotiation, and evaluationSupplier accountability for on time delivery and reimbursement claimsNegotiation and implementation of inventory solutions (CMI, VMI, 3PL, etc.)Contract negotiation, management, and reviewSupplier capacity managementParticipate in department/plant wide projects and initiativesBackground and Skills Bachelor's Degree within business, logistics, or supply chain. Other relevant fields of study within manufacturing, quality, and or engineering will be considered1+ years' experience in procurement, supply chain, or parts/supplier managementCandidates with 3+ years' experience in procurement, supply chain, or parts/supplier management, in lieu of a degree, will be consideredAbility to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficientlyProficiency in MS products (ex. Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)SAP or other ERP systems (ex.
