Job Description:Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University is currently seeking applications for a Leadership and Professional Development Postdoc.
This position would focus primarily on seeking opportunities for funding (RFPs) for undergraduate and graduate programs, from federal agencies, foundations, and companies. The position is responsible for seeking appropriate college partners and helping facilitate the grant-writing process where necessary. This position will also help develop and lead strategies for enhancing/supporting graduate programs, graduate students, and postdocs, including the development of graduate internship programs. Finally, this position will provide leadership for the development of training modules for advisers, peer mentors, and major professors.
The successful candidate will exhibit outstanding written and oral communication skills. In addition, the candidate will possess the ability to understand and be sensitive to the needs of under-represented populations. The successful candidate will be able to develop and foster professional relationships with college collaborators.
This position is a full-time, three-year term position.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in grant writing.
Experience in training development
Experience working with underrepresented populations
This position will remain open until filled.
