Job Description:Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The postdoctoral scientist will conduct research on the mechanisms of plant defense suppression by plant-parasitic nematodes. The postdoc is expected to work productively in a collaborative team environment, design and execute experiments, analyze and interpret data, review and keep up-to-date on relevant scientific literature, prepare presentations and manuscripts, assist the PI with reports and the writing of grant proposals, and supervise an undergraduate research assistant.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in plant pathology, plant biology, molecular biology, genetics or related field; eligible to start work in the US on Jan 1, 2021.
Experience in molecular cloning, DNA/RNA sequence analysis, protein-protein interaction analyses, reverse genetics, host-pathogen interactions, plant biology, excellent oral and written communication skills
