Job Description:Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

1) post-doctoral researcher position focused on research of human thermal regulation, heat and moisture transfer, cold and burn injury, and human hand manual performance via venues such as lab experiments, human trials, and statistical and numerical modeling, 2) post-doctoral researcher position focused on research of next generation personal protective equipment (PPE), PPE contamination evaluation, modeling and decontamination procedure, and mechanisms of fine particles transportation and deposition in the PPE system via venues such as lab experiments and statistical and numerical modeling.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

PhD degree at time of appointment in mechanical engineering, heat and mass transfer, or related field. Demonstrated understanding of the textile material and apparel products in affecting human thermoregulation and function. Strong oral and written communication skills. Evidence of scholarly potential (publications, working papers, scholarly presentation, creative output). Relative industry or research experience in textile and apparel, human thermoregulation, human ergonomics.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated research experience in the related fields, testing lab environment, or modeling projects. Demonstrated strong scholarly outputs including peer reviewed journal articles. Extensive modeling experience regarding human thermoregulation and heat and moisture transfer through clothing system. Specializes at modeling related tools such as CAD, CFD, MATLAB. Expertise in research data analysis and statistics a plus.
