Renewable Energy Group Coordinator I, Procurement Support in Ames, Iowa

POSITION PURPOSE:

The purpose of this job is to be responsible for and assist with providing support to internal and external customers, managing logistics into and out of facilities, and assisting in the purchases of 3rd party biodiesel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Logistics of Multimodal Transportation (25%)

• Communicate with truck dispatch and haulers

• Manage paperwork and contract changes with transportation diversions

• Monitor raw material adherence to REG policy and industry requirements

Monitor Inbound Logistics of Plants based on Production (10%)

• Manage tanks with plant personnel

• Schedule deliveries in accordance to tank restrictions

Manage Contracts (50%)

• Create and communicate contracts to domestic and international suppliers

• Verify data integrity and ensure timely payment to suppliers

• Record receipts against open Purchase Orders (P.O.’s) and track open P.O.’s

• Initiate P.O.’s with procurement for 3rd party biodiesel purchases

• Receive inventory into JD Edwards for 3rd party biodiesel purchases

Other Frequent Duties (15%)

• Work with team leader and other departments as part of continuous improvement

• Analysis of historical data

• Tracking of pricing from various markets

• Training of plant personnel on processes

• Resolving various contract questions

• Perform other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Required:4 year bachelor’s degree – Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or related degree; 3-5 years of experience may be substituted for education

Experience Required:0-2 years

Special skills, knowledge, or certifications preferred:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Basic math and accounting

• JD Edwards

• Other database systems
