HORMEL FOODS SALES, LLC Burke - Grindroom Laborer (2nd Shift) in Ames, Iowa

2nd Shift: 4:30PM to 2:30AMStarting Pay: $17.19, +$0.60 Shift DifferentialGrindroom Team MemberPerforming the following tasks in the GrindroomSupplying meat to the Grindroomfrom the meat receiving cooler using a pallet jack and transports raw meat to the grinderInspects meatGrind meatRemoves pallets and trash from the grind roomOperates a metal detector belt and augerAll team members must abide by all of Burke's plant safety rules!REQUIREMENTS:Ability to learn and perform multiple positions (training will be provided)Work in temperatures 40-50 degrees and 32 degrees in the coolerBeing able to operate an electric pallet jack (in-house training provided)Ability to work in an environment that is fast pacedBeing able to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to do repetitive tasksStanding, walking, pushing, lifting, bending, stepping up and downOperating food processing equipmentFill in for other plant positions as necessary (additional pay provided for higher pay grade position)Basic Math skillsPerform any and all duties as assigned by SupervisorQUALIFICATIONS:18 years of age or older and 6 months of work history is required.Electric pallet jack experience is a plus.Burke Corporation is a leader in the production of pizza toppings and other fully cooked meats.
