FUNCTION OVERVIEW:

Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Third Shift Supervisor opening to join our Amana Operations organization. For this role we will be looking for a high-performance candidate with World Class Manufacturing (WCM) experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment. This role provides a great opportunity for a motivated individual that has a manufacturing background, exceptional leadership skills, and can achieve world class performance in Safety, Quality, and Productivity. Directly supervise maintenance personnel in the repair of equipment, rearrangement of projects, construction projects, and preventive maintenance programs. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations; assembly equipment, packaging, material handling, fixtures, and business processes

  • Perform WCM project work, and implement WCM professional maintenance pillar methodology throughout area of responsibility

  • Support cost improvement and capital improvement initiatives, establish labor standards, clear expectations, and drive accountability,

  • Drive root cause analysis through structured diagnoses of equipment failures

  • Provide oversight to projects being completed on the shop floor with an emphasis on safety

  • Ensure efficient time and resource management practices are being followed

  • Dispatch craftsmen to resolve emergency calls for reactionary maintenance

  • Use a computerized maintenance management system for creation, display, track, and confirm maintenance requests, update, review, and present departmental metrics

  • Communicate information between maintenance shifts, department leadership, and to all levels of management

  • Flexibility to occasionally work across shifts to manage day-to-day operations

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates Degree in Engineering or Operations Management

  • 5+ years’ experience in Preventative and Predictive maintenance

  • 3+ years leadership experience (superviosory and project) in manufacturing environment

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Operations

  • Experience leading World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Pillar activities, specifically in Professional Maintenance, Autonomous Maintenance, and/or Focus Improvement pillars

  • Good working knowledge of all aspects of Electrical construction, code requirements, and troubleshooting techniques

  • Understanding of PLC functions, applications, and their use as a troubleshooting tool

  • Understanding of statistical data analysis as well as project management and scheduling

  • Proficient with MS Office, AutoCAD, and SAP Plant Maintenance Module

  • Effective communicator with the ability to support assembly processes 24 hours a day

  • Proven leader that can provide purpose, direction, and motivation

  • Demonstrate ability to provide an engaging work environment

  • Champion for challenging existing practices

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage conflict to a resolution
